ASDG703 Ultra-Slim Wireless Digital Audio System
The Lancer is a low-profile digital body wire built for authorized law-enforcement and government operations where concealment, operating time and clear live audio are critical. Its 0.3-inch-thick, 8-gram transmitter combines encrypted digital transmission with a Knowles microphone, automatic gain control and an included dual-mode receiver.
Mission-Critical Advantages
Lancer gives undercover officers and confidential informants a discreet body-worn audio transmitter without sacrificing live monitoring performance, voice clarity or practical field endurance.
At only 0.3 inches thick and 8 grams, the transmitter can be integrated into a wide range of body-worn concealment configurations with minimal bulk.
Lancer uses CVSD digital encoding and encryption with a receiver configured specifically for compatible Lancer and Hornet transmissions.
A built-in Knowles-brand microphone and automatic gain control help maintain intelligible voice audio as conversation levels and positioning change.
The low-current transmitter provides a published average operating time of 15 to 18 hours using three readily available AAA alkaline batteries.
The included three-AAA battery holder uses a sure-lock connection designed to reduce the risk of accidental separation during body-worn use.
The receiver supports encrypted digital reception, compatible legacy analog body wires and replaceable SMA antennas for portable, mobile or high-gain configurations.
Operational Workflow
Position the ultra-slim transmitter, microphone and battery holder within an agency-approved body-worn concealment suited to the operation.
Lancer sends encrypted live audio on the agency-specified frequency to properly configured receivers used by the monitoring team.
Surveillance, arrest and command personnel can monitor simultaneously with additional compatible receivers for faster, better-informed coordination.
Applications
The Lancer encrypted body wire can support appropriately authorized missions such as:
Expand Team Monitoring
Every Lancer system includes an encrypted receiver. When surveillance, arrest, perimeter or command personnel all need to hear the operation live, additional compatible receivers can monitor the same transmission simultaneously. The broadcast architecture does not impose a defined limit on the number of properly configured receivers.
Each additional receiver must be configured with the correct decryption setup and agency-specified frequency for the Lancer or Hornet system it will monitor. Contact MAXSUR before ordering so compatibility can be verified.

Buyer Questions
The transmitter measures approximately 0.66 x 2.1 x 0.3 inches (17 x 53 x 7 mm) and weighs only 0.28 ounces (8 grams), giving investigators substantial flexibility when planning a body-worn concealment.
No. Lancer is designed for encrypted live audio transmission. Agencies that need simultaneous live transmission and onboard WAV recording should evaluate the Hornet digital body wire transcorder system.
Yes. Additional properly configured receivers can monitor the same Lancer transmission simultaneously, with no defined receiver-count limit in the broadcast architecture. Each receiver must have the correct decryption configuration and agency-specified frequency.
Yes. A selectable receiver mode supports FM, WFM and AM reception for compatible legacy analog transmitters. The receiver also provides 1,300 memory channels for programmed and scanned frequencies.
The published performance is up to 2.2 miles line of sight under favorable conditions. Actual range varies with body placement, antenna configuration, terrain, buildings, vehicles, RF interference, frequency and receiver setup.
The transmitter's published average runtime is 15 to 18 hours using three alkaline AAA batteries. Actual runtime varies with battery condition, temperature, configuration and operating conditions.
