MAXSUR Team Member Colton Bostick Showcases Cinematic Talent

At MAXSUR, we’re proud of the talents our team members bring not only to public safety technology but also to creative projects outside of work. This short film was produced by Colton Bostick, an important member of the MAXSUR Team. Off duty, Colton is also behind the camera as an aspiring filmmaker, producing unique cinema experiences like this short, “Whatever Happened to Yolo?”

What Does “YOLO” Mean?

For those unfamiliar, YOLO stands for You Only Live Once. It was a phrase that became popular among young risk-takers on YouTube and social media, often used to justify daring stunts or wild behavior. While the term has faded from everyday use, Colton’s film provides a clever take on why it disappeared from the spotlight.

About the Short Film

“Whatever Happened to Yolo?” is both entertaining and thought-provoking. Through sharp visuals and creative storytelling, Colton and his fellow filmmakers bring a cinematic lens to a cultural phenomenon that once dominated internet culture. It’s a reminder of how fast trends evolve—and how film can capture these cultural shifts in real time.
