Crime Scene Mapping
Multi-Dimensional Aerial Mapping Software
See all perspectives from one photo
As late as last year, the state-of-the-art in crime scene photos was a static panoramic camera. Now, with inexpensive drones and PIX4D Multi-Dimensional Aerial Mapping Software, all perspectives can be gathered from one master photo -- and you get a 360° x 360° view from any point in the photo. For instance, imagine not only seeing the normal view but being able to zoom in, measure from any angle and see what the victim and the suspect could see at the time of the crime.
This same multi-dimensional capability not only applies to crime and accident scenes of the past, but also the future. For instance, agencies can map homeland security assets, malls and schools to produce rock solid security and reactive measures. In critical high stakes raids, large compounds can be mapped-- giving you the power to pre-plan ingress points with maximum cover and concealment.
Training requirements are minimal and operation is simple. Aerial photo flight missions can be pre-programmed and flown autonomously. Photos aquired are then downloaded to a PC running PIX4D Software which then makes easy work of perfectly stitching the photos into one complete 3 dimensional picture.
