How It Works
A buried probe detects vehicles in the monitored lane/approach and transmits an alert to a compatible long-range receiver. Multiple sensors can be paired to a single receiver to create a complete site alerting system.
Receivers commonly support multiple paired sensors (up to 16) and can distinguish sensors using unique alert tones.
Deployment Notes
- Probe detects vehicles within approximately 10 ft (3 m)
- Recommended burial depth: at least 3 inches (deeper with conduit in high-traffic areas)
