Mustang – Digital Burst Audio System

This wireless system is engineered for sensitive missions that require a high degree of RF security, potential for long term battery powered operation, long range and a physical size that promotes easy concealment. The primary feature that delivers RF security is the unconventional method of bursting packets of audio data versus a continuous stream. Other security layers include a unique 16 bit transmitter address and a 56 bit encryption. When the included transmitter is in standby mode, it draws a minute, 250pa (pico amp / one millionth of an ampere), which equates to greater than a year standby time on an ordinary alkaline battery. Via the receiver, operators can send remote commands to the transmitter to turn power on, adjust RF output power, select a power save mode (reduced bit rate), select internal or external microphone, choose a VOX mode (voice activation), select frequency and address. The receiver can issue these remote commands up to sixteen different transmitters deployed in the same vicinity. Even with low gain, rubber whip antennas, this system has a line-of-sight range of over two-miles making it perfect for vehicular deployments, structures, body-worn, etc… The transmitter is a thin 1/3”, requires a single 9 volt battery for hours of continuous operation making it perfect for on-person concealment.
